Any way to tell which radio in these Overlands?

See the link below. Basically 7 identical Overlands. Not sure if it's possible to tell 430N from 730N by VIN or other information under the details for each. I appreciate your help.

The best way is to look under optional equipment on the computer generated window sticker. If there's no entry for the 730N, it probably has the 430N.

The 430N has been standard on the Overland since early July, and I would expect there are blessed few ordered before that point still on dealer lots.

Thanks. Is the general consensus here that one should avoid early builds of this vehicle?

I don't know why you'd say that.

They switched the stock unit to the 430N due to it apparently being a more attractive interface to interested buyers. There's reasons to go with either the 430N or the 730N, both have their good points.

If these Overlands are early-July builds, would they have Quadra-Lift? Sorry, again, for the newbie questions. I appreciate all the help.

With VINs that high, there's no way they are early July builds. October at the earliest, $5 says they all have Quadra-Lift.

The bigger question I have, is why does this dealership have 6 Overlands for sale. I thought build priority was supposed to go to sold orders, and the factory has not caught up yet to the backlog of sold orders! :wtf:

If you are going strictly off their website most likely that have been ordered or are in transit and NOT on the lot. That was the case then I bought my limited. Their website said they had 12 different jeeps in stock (this was back in July) and actually they had one. According to dealership guys Chrysler allows them to "slightly mislead" in the hopes it will draw customers and they can sell them before they even arrive. FWIW its not the dealer misleading their inventory feed is pulling from Chryslers computers.

QL shows on the window sticker under "functional/safety features." And as Marlon said, there's no way those are early July builds. Overlands weren't rolling off the assembly line then. There's a very small number of pre-QL ones out there, but they didn't really start building them in earnest until early August, and even then they were nearly all spoken for until late Sept/early Oct.

As has been said, note that some of those vehicles show as "Vehicle is in transit." That means the thing may well not be on the lot yet, and even then it may already be spoken for. If you have interest in any particular vehicle, you'll need to call the dealer to confirm things.

I agree, most Overland's in transit are sold orders. I have bought two Overland's and both showed up "in transit".

Thanks for all the feedback. I went by the dealership today and test drove the HEMI and the V6. After driving both, I actually prefer the V6. I really don't need the muscle of the V8 and don't prefer the rumble that comes with it. Guess I'm beyond that point in my life. So, now the search for the properly equip'd 4x4 Overland V6 with DVD. I'm thinking I will need to just order it and wait.

Thanks again.
