Ignition Coil and spark plugs
How often should the ignition coil be replaced. My WJ has 220,000 miles and I have never done it since i purchased it with 85,000 miles on it.

Also, i would like to replace the spark plugs soon. I dont want anything fancy nor dirt cheap but some decent plugs. Any suggestions as to what brand/model?

Re: Ignition Coil and spark plugs
Ignition coil normally only has to be replaced as soon as it doesn´t function anymore.
Regarding plugs, seems that Jeeps run the best on the standard plugs. The type should be mentioned on an identification plate under the hood

Re: Ignition Coil and spark plugs
I replaced a set of NGK platinum tips that previous owner installed about 25,000 kms ago with the OE Champion Coppers. Seemed to smooth out slightly, a bit of a flutter at idle. Although I do need to look into that further, the coppers seemed to help a little. As far as mileage and power goes, I didn't notice a difference.
