Polished aluminum wheels

Do the polished aluminum wheels on the trail rated Overland tarnish and need polishing? The aluminum on my SkySki (avitar picture) needs to be polished to keep in shinny and it is a major PITA!!

most newer Jeep polished wheels are also clearcoated...so i highly doubt it. I have the oem SRT wheels and they are cleared.

Thank GOD!!! I was actually trying to figure out how I could downgrade to the painted ones. Polishing sucks! Clear coating them makes sense.

I had a tough time deciding but kept hearing the painted would look better longer then the clear. I suppose that's subjective but I know my last polished set on previous Jeep the clear seemed to not protect it very well.

I'm seriously leaning towards the black mopar rims.
