Speeding up a 3.7

I just got a brand new 3.7 and was looking to speed it up but i heard not much could be done and what can be done wouldnt do much... does anyone have any advice as to what i can do or is it really not worth it to do anything?????

Personally, I don't think it is worth it because you are going to dump so much money into it and it will still be a slug.

But, if modding vehicles brings you enjoyment and you want to do it, then go for it.

there are many possibilities...but your gonna have to be an innovator to get it done

Off the bat I'd say Intake, Exhaust, the powerwire iffy. Other that that I'd say spark plugs and premium gas. You should see some improvement. It'll be faster than stock but it's still not a hemi. But if your pockets run deep you could do turbo but for that money you could trade it in for a hemi or 4.7

Ill be honest. Just use the cash to make the jeep pretty on the outside and interior also.

What they said, minus the turbo because you're just going to blow the engine. Kenne Bell made a supercharger for the 3.7L back in the day but because of the way the 3.7/4.7 is designed, the supercharger blew the piston rings.

there is a significant way to speed up in 3.7, all you have to do is put your foot down :D

I would do a Cold air intake and exhaust for starters, then airram.com power wire.

I would put money elsewhere, nice lights, good sound system, tint the windows, maybe the mopar body kit, make it luxurious and keep it spotless. It doesn't have to be fast to turn heads or be a really nice looking rig.

Is there an exhaust for our small ponied jeep? That will give him a lil bit of roar?
