Just had the same happen to mine.

you need this set (both, even if only one failed) and the 4 ball studs (2 per side)

use code save10 for $10 off

Ok Guys I got a set of supports for the liftgate and did not pay hundreds of bucks for them. I got a set of StrongArm gas charged Lift supports at Advance Auto for 15.95 each. They look just like the oem ones. All it take is a T40 torx. The part number is 6104. I am so happy Here is a picture

I get all my struts from: http://www.strutwise.com/index.php. Frank is reasonable and will set them up any way you want. Bare in mind that as ambient temperature decreases, so does the pressure in the struts. Since I am in a relatively cold climate, I had him set mine up with slightly higher pressures. I highly recommend you check him out before you buy.
