rear sway bar install
A couple of people who installed their rear sway bars said that had to jack up their jeep and take wheels off to get it done. Has anyone tried to do it without this process? I managed it with my WJ but this one looks impossible to do without. I just found my rear Addco sway at the back door and i am itching to put it on. Unfortunately I dont have a jack yet and there is 4 inches of snow!

Re: rear sway bar install
I would be seriously impressed if someone could do it without removing both wheels...

I remember it was actually kind of hard weaseling it out from under there, while both wheels were off, and on jacks with the suspension fully depressed

that's my impression. I guess I dont feel like going out to buy a jack and stands, clear the snow out of my turnaround, and work on it @ 15 degrees.

I just called a tire place and they told me the end links usually break during installation? What!?

Re: rear sway bar install
no thats crazy talk! its freaking 4 bolts for the sway bar and 1 each for the sway links! it is not difficult to do! just make sure you have a torque wrench so when you put the bolts back on they can be torqued properly

rear torque specs

1. Install the upper bolt for the stabilizer link to the frame and tighten to 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the nut and tighten to 122Nm (90 ft. lbs.).

everything suspension wise can be found here
