Will This Buff Out?

1 Attachment(s)
I'm not sure if I'm in the right section, but we finally got a decently warm day today where I could wash the Jeep for the first time in 2 weeks and I found these scraches on the passeneger rear door . Do you guys think I can buff this out, or will it need professional work?

hmm.. i THINK you can buff some of it out. i recently found a few light scratches on my trunk and used some Ultimate Compound. Rub the UC until it fills in the scratch and buff it after. Of course my scratches looks much lighter than yours but it should take some of that off. Sorry to hear :(

those look pretty deep, try ultimate compound first. if that doesnt work try 105. if that doesn't work, repaint

^^^^theres tons of other products besides those two. Do you have a rotary buffer? Im guessing no.....SO

Take it to a detail shop or body shop and tell them you want it buffed out. If you were here near me...I could take care of it in 5 minutes. It looks like a few spots may need touch up...so get ya some oem touch up paint and clearcoat touch up as well.

I can borrow an orbital buffer, problem is that winter has set in here and I doubt I'll see a day above freezing until march... Maybe I'll try to use the uc on it when I go home to Atlanta in a couple of weeks. Maybe it'll be warm enough down there. Thanks for the tips!

Normal rule of thumb is if you can catch your fingernail on the scratch then it's too deep to polish out....

Hope you are able to fix it though....

:(
