radar detectors and ACC

Now that a bunch of people have the tech package, has anyone noticed if radar detectors are affected by the Jeep system?

That sucks. I was really wondering about this too. Does anybody know what band cops mostly use? Are there any radar manufacturers out there that make detectors that are smart enough block out the K-band ACC from your own vehicle?

I just installed a K40 RL 360 (invisible detector) because it allows you to turn off whatever band you want. I figured I would have to turn some bands off. Amazingly all the bands work fine with the ACC on while cruising. Also the blind spot monitoring and the forward collision warning do not set it off.
The K40 is expensive but worth every penny to me (I was quoted $1900 but I got it all installed for around $1400). I had an older K40 in my last Jeep and it saved my ass almost every day. It has a rear detector which is very useful. I've only had it a couple days so I haven't been able to figure out the true range, but a State Trooper was parked on the road and I did a couple drive byes and I know I get at least 1 mile warning from each direction. I couldn't go further because the road was a dead end in one direction and there was a giant hill going the other.
Give me a day or two and I will post some pictures of the cluster where there are two blue LED lights hidden. It turned out awesome!
I'm very surprised that all the bands could stay on, so my bet is that all detectors will work ok. However the K40 RL 360 was designed for all the advanced warning and adaptive cruise control technology so I could be wrong. If you decide to get one do your homework finding a good installer. Half of the listed dealers sub the work out, so try to find one that doesn't. Also make sure you know where you want the LED's because they could really **** it up. Also the blue LED's are super bright and annoying, so I had my installer black them out and it made a huge difference.

When I had an Escort 8500, I got 3 tickets in 4 years. Then I got rid of it 5 years ago... and no tickets since. I put cruise on 9-10 over...

Drove 258,499 miles in 5yrs on my last Jeep and had one ticket with the K40. I drive safe but fast... BTW my one ticket was at 4am in the middle of the country and the Sheriff didn't have his gun on to warn me. He clocked me when I passed his hideout..
