Liftgate wont open.

Beeps twice, does nothing. 80 degrees out. You have no idea how much this pisses me off.

Is the rear window closed?

Make sure the top window on the back door is closed first then try it again.

Can you open and close by hand? You might try disconnecting negative battery cable to reset.

^Sorry, I'd be pissed too, sounds like the locks may be engaged. The battery disconnect might help, or if you have the patience, wait for the dealer.

Re: Liftgate wont open.

Before I headed out to the dealer I figure what the hell and gave it another try. This time the liftgate cracked open, (the lock released I guess) I opened it manually. Then it wouldnt close, it would just beep 3 times (not the same beep as opening). I forced it closed manually and it's working again now. Ill probably ask the dealer to take a look soon anyway.

Re: Liftgate wont open.

well glad it worked out for now... at least you're not like me who has to bitch slap the dash every single time at night to get the button lights on my 730 to go on.
of all problems to have, electrical/electronic ones suck the most.
