Oznium led lights

Does anyone have any advice about the LED light bar in the trunk with oznium leds? I bought the single leds and intalled them but they wern't as bright as i expected. I think i"m going to replace them with their 4 chip LED's to see if its any better. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

That's what i"m thinking to swap out the singles for but I'm just surprised the difference between the single and the 4 chip because the amount of light the singles put out is dimmer than the light jeep puts from the factory. the color difference siprised me too. the single led's white light color looks closer to a stock bulb than an led bulb.

Different LEDs have different colors, color can change with current and over time with use, and the angle of light dispersion is different among them. Oznium's website comparing their led to a "5mm led" is a joke. A 5mm led can vary from 1000 mcd to 100000 mcd, so there comparison is misleading. But anyway, I have a bag of 5 mm LEDs where one of them would be brighter than 20 you would buy from radio shack, so tha may explain what you are seeing.

the 4 chips are super bright. a few of us have 6 in the rear cargo. we all followed this walk-through. check it out.

I followed the walk threw. The only thing i did differently is ordered the 5mm led because i didn't know which ones to get. The amount of light output isnt much. you have to hold your hand 6 inches away in order to see that the lights is actually putting some out put. The color of the white led is a shade different from the stock bulbs and no where near the color in the walk threw. I haven't gotten a chance to order the 4 chip but that's the only thing i can figure out is different.

a 5 mm led has a place.....lighting up a 75 CF area is NOT it. PERIOD.

86- the ones i linked to are the deal. if you want video or anything just ask. they ARE bright.

It makes a difference what 5 mm LEDs you use. The cheap ones are a couple thousand mcd, but you can get some that are 100,000 mcd. Once I get a chance I'll put some in the cargo area. Candella and lumens are two different measures of light intensity, but the more you have of either one the brighter it is. I also have some Cree and Luxeon LEDs I am going to try...

I just started reading Jeep Garage again so I missed this thread in till now but I ordered 9 of the pre-wired superflux 4-chip in white. One of the guys on their FB page said they changed the LED type in the white ones so I'm intrested to see how the hold up and how the color looks with new LEDs.
