No streaming bluetooth?

Hey all,

I just noticed that my 2011 Limited with the RER (730N) does not allow me to stream blue tooth music! Does anyone know if this navigation system will have an update to allow BT streaming music?

Or a way to make the wired connection allow my iphone to play pandora thru the ipod connection?

I noticed some people are buying lockpicks. Does anyone know if the lockpick offers either of these features?

What are my options to get streaming bt music and or make the ipod function allow me to play pandora rather than just the ipod?

Thanks!

I play pandora from my iphone 4 throught the ipod connector on the 730
-plug in the iphone and switch to media (iphone starts playing your library)
-now start pandora

Re: No streaming bluetooth?

730N RER does not have streaming bluetooth audio, handsfree texting, voice command of iPod, Sirius TravelLink, or the ability to play MP3s directly off a thumb drive. Those will be added to the forthcoming RHR (goes into production in January).

No word if we will see a software update that might enable any of that. I'm not holding my breath- even if it is possible, I don't know that it's a priority.

I test drove a 3.7L Overland this morning just to convince myself that I wanted the Hemi. During the test drive, my dealer was with me and we tried to stream music from my iPhone via BT. I thought I was going crazy when it wouldn't work, because I thought I had done it before. Now I'm realizing that I did it during a previous test drive on a 430n, and today's Overland had an RER radio.

My dealer knew it wouldn't work, but he humored (:sleepy:) me as I tried to convince him that I had done it before.

One other positive offshoot of this dealer visit was that it removed all doubt as to where I'm buying from. This guy was a car guy and a Jeep guy, and he is going to try to corner his Chrysler dealer this Friday to see what he can learn about the saddle interior embargo and the avails on the RHR. DC-area folks, feel free to PM me for his contact info.
