Your Lowest Fuel Mileage EVIC Readouts...the bottom line!

Just curious as to what people's bottom line is for fuel mileage.

We've had a lot of snow up here lately so the roads have been ridiculous with constant wheel slip and so on; along with the remote starting for cold days. I've even had some fun in the snow covered parking lots...anyways...when I went into my fuel economy setting I was blown away by my low value of 9mpg.

That is absolutely brutal...I mean I wasn't that hard on it at all...if at all.

I drive 100% city and was wondering what people's fuel mileage was from driving entirely in the city...I know the mpg || L/100km jumps||falls as soon as you do any highway driving...I'm just wondering If I should have got a V6 or not...or if I should consider living out of town and making a commute into work instead of dealing with stop and go traffic all the time..

Who am I kidding...I love the hemi...just hate filling it...costs me $85 to fill every two weeks.

$85 what are you putting in the thing? I shouldn't be more than $73 max if it was bone dry, lol. Be lucky you only fill yours up every other week. I fill mine every week, but I don't get 9MG. My best friend has a WK with the hemi and he gets 9MPG but he floors it everywhere he goes and I mean he never has the tac below 4K RPM's

My Yukon Denali that weighs more and has a bigger engine is averaging 13 with almost all city driving. I don't care too much about fuel economy though, its nice when its good but there are way more aspects of a car I consider more inportant. I figure you just gotta pay to play and having the space, luxury and capabilities far outweigh the fuel comsumption.

Agreed re fuel economy. It is one of several decision points and not the primary one for me. The Hemi's MDS gimmickry helps me rationalize the bigger engine even though I don't expect it to make a tinker's damn bit of difference. If it does, I'm golden. If not, I wasn't expecting it to anyway.

Yeah that's $85 CDN dollars. Gas is 96 cents per liter here in Canada...You American's enjoy the lower gas prices while us Canadians pay more!

We pay 112 per liter here in Ottawa. Consider yourself lucky! I am averaging 17 liters around town.

Why is mine so bad, because I don't drive it too hard...it says 26 L/100km...you have the hemi too?

Maybe something is wrong with my GC?

How many kms you get doing 100% city on your tank before a fill?

Thats not really true. The true cost of gasoline for an American making 60k a year is over 5 USD per gallon. Everyone just looks at the pump prices but forgets about their tax dollars that are used for subsidies for oil companies, not to mention the price of the military defending strategic oil areas and transportation channels. Doesn't matter what the price at the pump is for Americans, we are getting ripped off regardless.
