08 4.7 vs 06 4.7

just had a few question. The 08 4.7 is supposed to be putting out 305 hp. So does it have the H.O cam in it? If not how much more hp would it get if you did put a H.O cam in it? I got a 06 4.7 can i swap out my 06 4.7 for a 08 4.7 with know problems? I know the 08 4.7 is putting out alot more hp than the 06 4.7. & how hard would it be to find a 08 4.7? I would like to find one & build it a little more. How much building would i have to do to get it up to compete with a 5.7 hemi? Sorry if these are stupit questions but you don't know until you ask. Thanks for the info

It's the Intake Mani and it also has Dual Spark Plugs. They remade the Intake Manifold in 2008 and did the added the Dual Spark plugs per cylinder. I'm not sure if they added H.O. Cams to it.

different heads and pistons too....and a few other little things

I have made the switch from 06 4.7 to 08 4.7. It was fairly easy. All it required was an adapter for the TB(you will need an 06 tb) and a custom tune from SCT/B&G. My 08 is completely built, bored and stroked to 5.7. Custom sleeves, pistons, rods, stage 3 racing heads, F&B 74mm TB, forged crank, billet cams...all the fastners etc.

An even better way to get a little more juice could be going to a lighter rim. I see you got some big shoes on that truck to the OP, Stock rims could give ya a little more pep for cheap ;)

it easily puts down SRT numbers....but its built for forced induction as well. Ive ran a 12.5 in the 1/4 according to a superchips. So I htink its easily a high 12...low 13 second Jeep
