TRIED SEARCHING offset, lift, tires need advice

ok guys i decided to jump and lift the jeep when i get back from afghanistan. i decide the 2.25 ome lift with a set of 17 inch gunmetal rims which i havnt picked yet amd a 31 inch tire my question is. What offset for the rim should i run so i dont need spacers, and what tires size should i run for no rubbing. i have searched and search but the internet here in afcrakcistan blows nad takes forever so i got frustrated. anyone help

5.3'' or 5'' backspacing will do just fine, our bolt pattern is 5x5 and i believe stock backspacing is 6.3''. Is there a reason for a 31'' tire? why not a 265/70/17? It's roughly a 31.7'' your Jeep will look to tiny with 31's.

255/70/17 would be perfect, its a 31.1" tire.

No labor is required. That size tire fits a stock WK with no rubbing. And it am 99% sure you wont need spacers.

What about a 245/75R17? - it's about 31.5" and narrower. Wouldn't that help mileage? It may not clear the the upper ball-joint bolt

Not to threadjack
I'm running 1.5" spacers and shopping for tires too, I'm planning on the OME MD and don't want a huge mpg hit.

Keep in mind 2008, 2009 and 2010 have a portion of the calipers sticking out a bit further so a lot of wheels wont clear. Though you can always take a grinder to wherever it rubs.

245 is just way to narrow for my taste, the tire being taller will still get you at the pump.
