leaking sunroof

my passenger floor is soaked! is the TSB covered by jeep or will they still charge to recalibrate the sunroof and fix the drain hose??

i have 30k miles on my 05 but didn't extend the warranty....

is this an easy fix?

I dont know the severity of the fix but it should be covered by jeep. I would give it a try.

See if its covered. I had the same exact problem a few months back. It is due to clogged sunroof drains that cause the water to pool up in the track and eventually spill into the cabin. Here is my service record so you can take a look at. Hope this helps.

I would have shat a brick if they ran my Overland through a carwash to see if it was leaking. I bet that left some nice swirling.

Re: leaking sunroof

this seems to be a common problem.

I don't mind using a bit of compressed air to blow out drains myself, I guess I've never seen (or maybe I've never looked) at the drains.

Could someone post a pic or page from a service manual where this is described?

Hey Smack,

I had the same problem with a leaky sunroof. Here's the TSB that helped me. All I did was hold the vent control down for 5 seconds or so. The glass moved up and down and then it recalibrated itself to the point that the glass was flush with the roof. No stealership for me! Hopefully this works for you.

Sorry I can't confirm if it will work for an 08 I have an 05. I say try it, its free and quick. See if there's TSB for the 08s. Good Luck!

Re: leaking sunroof

here is some info from the 2005 WK service manual regarding the sunroof drains. I find the info difficult to follow because the illustrations are so crappy.

maybe if someone actually cleans out the drains, they can take some better photos.
