Stuck in 4 Low

Hello,

I've got a 2007 Grand Cherokee Limited with Quadra Drive 2. I accidentally engaged the 4 Low t-bar and I do not know how to turn it off.

After shutting the Jeep off it turns back on with traction control off and in 4 low. I try to use the selector to turn if off again and it stays on.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

With it running, put it in Neutral and pull up and hold the switch for like 5 seconds, That should turn it off

It has to be in neutral, under 5 mph and not stopped. May take a couple tries but shell go back to 4 high. GL

Unless my WK is weird, shift in neutral and stopped or moving under 5MPH. I have had it in 4LOW many times.

You can do it while it's stopped, but it may not work and it's not recommended to do it this way. The gears would have to be properly lined up for this method to work. I don't know the odds of the gears being lined up if you try it at a dead stop, but I'd guess it's 50%.

Ideally, you want the vehicle to be moving forward at 1-3mph. This allows the gears to be rotating very slowly so when it's shifted, the gears will continue moving very slowly and if the gears aren't originally lined up, they will eventually rotate enough to where they line up and allow the shift to occur.
