Anyone try this clear bra? Need recommendation

Ordered my Overland yesterday and want to be ready for it when it arrives in a few months. Since this is the first car I have ever bought new I want to make sure it has a clear bra day one!!
Having a clear bra installed is very expensive so I want to try something different, but I also want it done right.
My friend recommended this company and has used their products on his Saab and also his C6 Z06 Corvette. He did both installs himself and said it was relatively easy and turned out just like as if it was done by a professional.
When I searched for the 2011 Grand Cherokee I was amazed to see they have model specific kits and a HUGE variety of kits. You could literally cover the entire truck with what they sell lol.

What do you guys think? This link should bring you to all the kits for a 2011 Overland.

Looks like they have a deal going now where you get the install kit, door edge gaurd protectors, door handle cup kit, and priority shipping. I priced out the standard hoof/fender kit, front bumper, and headlights came out to be $264 plus shipping. Seems reasonable when I know it could cost $600+ to get that done professionally.

Thanks,
James

clear bra's are awesome! i wish i would have gotten one from day one. i do a lot of highway driving and have rock chips.

the downfall is that you can clearly see the cutoff on your hood from the clear bra.

That's why some companies are covering the entire hood so that there isn't a seam. That's what they did on my wife's new M3 and it has already proved its worth.

I'd never try the install myself though. I'm just not detail-oriented enough to acheive the results that a pro gets with the material.

Are you going with Invisi-mask or the 3M?

Humm thats a good question I would have thought 3M would be the way to go but still not sure. I tried looking but dont see what the real differences are on the site.

Well I dont know my friend bought multiple kits from that same site and he said it was great. He said the Z06 had a couple sorta tricky spots but overall very nice. I dont know to me it seems worth it. I could spend $600+ just to have the front bumper done from a professional, or pay less than $300 for the front bumper, hood, headlights, mirrors etc etc. and just do it myself.
I also heard a horror story from the Corvette forums of a place professionally installing a clear bra and put deep razor blade scratche marks over the entire front of the car. Only reason he found this out is because he ended up removing the clear bra. yeah no thanks!

The Invisi has a lifetime warranty, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is better. 3M has been around a long time....

I had an invisi-mask clear bra on a WRX I had quite a few years back. I installed it myself and it wasn't too hard. You just spray a solution and apply the film while wet which allows you to get it in perfect position.

I was very happy with it though at the time they only offered the strip that went across the front of the hood.

My luck being what it is, the road I traveled daily for work was being re-surfaced and I had rock chips everywhere, except on the front of the hood. =)

Regular cut for the hood, or bikini?
