Abs module... Help

So I ripped the metal break line off my hub last night, and lost all of the fluid completely dry....and had to limp home using the parking break. I called the dealer about the metal tube that goes to the hub, and they said I WOUlD HAVE TO BRING IT TO THEM. Something about bleeding the abs module with a scanner... Can i bleed it manualy? Has this happened to any buddy? I could use some help on this one. Thanks

nope..if its off the caliper...its just the brake line. About $30-40 plus install and bleeding the brakes.

If you ran it dry the HCU (hydraulic control unit) needs to be bled using the scantool... just opening the system your fine to do a base bleed, but if you drained it dry it needs the scantool to purge the HCU. sorry... you could replace the line, fill it with fluid take it down there, to hopefully minimize the cost.

Sorry.

BTW what ripped it off? chains?

Also keep in mind that, your parking brake SUCKS, its crappy tiny shoes inside the rotor hat in the rear. Depending on those to stop your tank is a stretch, good thing you made it home. Just fyi for next time (hopefully there wont be another time ;) )
