Arrington CAI Installed.

Decided to change things up a little bit and removed my 4" Bwoody in exchange for an Arrington CAI.

Picked up the Arrington CAI from Chad at BlackOps. Great service and fast shipping.

The Arrington is pretty nice with the carbon fiber tube and the aluminum heat shield. Nice thing about carbon fiber is that it doesn't really heat up like metal tube does. And the heat shield has a cut-out that allows the stock snorkel to be installed.
The intake tube is a massive 6" at the filter inlet.

My lower back is a little stiff so I got my dad to help with the install. Pretty easy install. Nice working on stuff with him....even though he isn't into cars/vehicles like I am, but we work well together (we work together in our family business all the time).

Here are a few pics, I will get more up tomorrow after I can take some daylight pics.

any improvement on the Bwoody? i have one also, and i really like it, but the Arrington seems like it could utilize the functionality of my trufiber hood

I think you are correct .... the Arrington CAI will benefit from that hood for sure, since the filter is right there at the outlet of the ram air duct.

And I want that hood !!! haha...looks sick.

i love this hood

i like my Bwoody, and its sounds great, but cleaning the filter is a pain in the ass, and being that it is located so far near the ground, it gets dirty really quick. i would love to use the ram air function of this hood, without losing the power i already have

looking good bro. i like the way this is put together.

and parry bro, a drycharger doesnt help your cleaning issues? should keep it cleaner longer.

looks good......looks like you could squeeze a bigger filter in there!!

Call AFE, they have all kinds of custom sizes!

I had a much larger and wider one made for my Mopar CAI!

Louder at heavy throttle than the Bwoody

Feels like it may be a little more responsive than the Bwoody....and may flow more air based on my AFR at WOT.

The Arrington will definitely stay cleaner. The DryCharger on the Bwoody will help keep it cleaner.

Already have one AFE on order......bigger filter off of one of their diesel intakes. Going to see how/if it fits.

Is this only for the 6.1L or can you purchase for the 5.7L as well?
