Off-Roading in Massachusetts

As a new owner I'm excited to find some good locations to take my WK2 off the beaten path.

I looked at some Jeep clubs but that is WAY too hard core for me. They require 31"+ tires, etc. just to be a member.

What I really want is some real lighweight off-roading in some snow / dirt where my stock Limited without the Off Road Adventure package could have a little fun without risking damage or requiring a crew to come with me :)

Any thoughts for Easten MA. I live in Medfield, so any place close by that any locals know about? (At this point I'd settle for rarely plowed dirt roads in the middle of nowhere)

Thanks!
-Ryan

If you are looking for a mini vacation, come to Bobcaygeon, Ontario, Canada for the London Jeep Club "Trailfest" in 2011. We offer many trails from 101 basics to a 6/7 rating. Check out the Club Website which has many pictures from previous club events. We have had many US participants come in the past to the Canadian (Ontario) Jeep Jamboree (1998 to 2006) or Trailfest (2007 to 2010).

It's about a 10 hour drive from Massachusetts/Rhode Island to the trails.

You can check "You-Tube" (Trailfest 2010 and others).

Here is the link to the club website with photos.

If you're in Jersey, Rausch Creek shouldn't be too far. (Pine Grove PA)

Jeep Jamborees (http://www.jeepjamboreeusa.com/) are good for beginners! There are several tours in the Northeast, of varying difficulty, led by expert guides. The weekend events are not inexpensive, but a fun and safe way to hit the trails in your Jeep.
