Paul, in my opinion, the Overland has been good and bad to me. Mostly bad because of all the trips to the dealer. Yet every Jeep that comes off the line is different. Mine may have been a POS but that one may be great. Tell him to take it for a test drive and see whats up.

The Overland is the luxury version of the WK but in my opinion it is not that much different from the Limited except for the Wood trim, the brushed aluminum, and the painted mirrors. Tell your cousin unless he can bring the price down on that Overland by at least 4k, tell him to go find a limited with a HEMI.

Well when you think about it... it's only a lil less than 30k/yr. There's plenty of us on here that can pull that off easily. I'd just use that as a reasoning to bring the price down.

(With that said I wouldn't expect very much if I sold my Jeep someday... 30k/yr? No way... I'd be surprised if someone told me I was insane for the low price I was offering...)

The ifference from limited to overland is
Overland is standard hemi
Chrome roof racks.
Painted side skirts.
Tow package I believe
trail rated
OEM HID's
Chrome molding over rear license plate
Different leather seats with Overland embroidered in the seats.
standatd 18" wheels
Thats all I can remember off the top of my head. He could get a nicely loaded limited w/ a hemi for a decent price...

I think the 18" wheels standard started in 2008... I might be wrong on that though. I think from 2005-2007 they came with the 17" chrome wheels that were an option on the Limited.

The Overland also has different wood trim with a wood/leather steering wheel, and the seats are leather with suede inserts I believe.

Oh I know 30k/year can be done easily... but it is a lot of miles. Average of 82 miles PER DAY.

In this day 30k is nothing. I would ask the erson what town they live in and work in. My GF does 28k a year. but she commutes about 90 something miles a day. I know the 09's the limited's have the suade inserts. I think the overlands have a more premiun leather with "overland" embroidered in them. But sticker $ the overland is more than SRT.

Re: 07 Overland (Paging Elvis)

I guess I'm livin' in the past LOL... my "commute" to work is 15 miles round trip.

If I was in the market for a used car I don't think I'd even consider buying one that racked up any more than 15K a year.

A friend of mine drives 90 miles EACH WAY to work! He bought his car brand new in late 2007 and I think it has somewhere between 50 and 60K miles on it already.

Re: 07 Overland (Paging Elvis)

yeah my commute is 15min each way with no traffic. But being that I work 9am-6pm my commute is about 35-45min and in bad weather 45min-1 hour. But I guess I'm weird cause sometimes I don't mind spending time in my car alone. LOL
