5 Days and HAPPY ! ! ! !

Guys and gals five days and all is well. Almost 400 miles mostly city but did get out on I-275 and gave her her head....boy does she run! No problems so far and loving every time I get in and drive. Had purchased illuminated sills, chrome fog lite bezels, wheel locks and Weather Tech FloorLiners, so those were installed when we picked her up. Also, much to some peoples dismay, pin striping....red over silver and the guy at the dealership who did the stripes is an artist. Since we never keep a vehicle more than 4 to 5 years we extended the warranty with Max Care for 5 years @ 70,000 miles, $50 deductible for $825.

Everything to like: the ride...5.7L Hemi, more power than most will ever need...the 20ís, smooths out any road...seats firm but supportive...interior lighting at night is ghostly beautiful...EVIC has just about all the info on the inner workings of this beast...430N media center with Garmin and uConnect, after some help from friends here, works flawlessly...styling, well others have put it in words better than me...the Blackberry Pearl in the sun sparkles dark blue and at night gleams black...comfortable, roomy, fast, beauty...what else can one old man want, a good wife and I already have her.

Everything NOT to like: Have not found any,,,,

You all have seen plenty of pictures, mine would not do justice to this vehicle, but there are some @ http://www.jeepgarage.org/showthread...=11848&page=63 Post #1258 towards the bottom of the page.

Good post! I saw your photos earlier too. The pinstripe was well done and helps bring out the blackberry blueness. I had red/silver pinstripes on previous blue and green XJs and both benefited from this combo, if not overdone.

Had purchased illuminated sills, chrome fog lite bezels, wheel locks and Weather Tech FloorLiners

How do you like the Weather Tech? Did they fit right? What color did you get. I have a BBP Overland with Frost and I need mats and cargo liner.

I have WeatherTech mats in the front only and they fit great. The tan colour works for me with the Frost Beige interior. :)

Beautiful........I'm just not a fan of pinstripes, no matter the color.

We did the same, only front, no one hardly ever is in the back, but went with black.

Weather Tech FloorLiners are great.....fit is exact and keeps water, salt and wet shoes, boots off the carpet. Black was our choice, seemed to fit the darker carpet and surround. Liking the Blackberry Pearl especially this morning with the sun shine today:cool:

Long wait but well worth it...just a couple days shy of 16 weeks. Almost bailed once or twice....sure am happy we stayed with our order. From Milous's thread it looks as if they, ChryCo., are cranking them out faster but remember they are now also building the Durango on the same line. Good luck, hope you see yours in a lot less than 16 weeks.

The simple duel lines running along the character line of the vehicle and swept up the back pillar seemed not over done but enough to set off a distinction between top and bottom. He had done one that was on the floor of the dealership. The Limited he had striped was Black and one look sold me.

Nice shot of the interior. Thats the interior I ordered in my Overland. I will also be getting some all weather mats as well but my only gripe is I wish they made them match the carpet better. The black or saddle interior would be easy since they have black carpet, but the light beige interior has like a dark brown carpet and to me tan rubber mats dont match all that well. I will have to look around and see what else is out there. I saw another thread with husky mats and really liked how those look, but again it would probably either be black or tan. Neither of which match the dark brown carpet in the beige interior.

Dang that stinks that the Durango is being built on the same line. You would think that would slow down Grand Cherokee production big time since you now have a TOn of additional cars taking of that same assembly line. errrrrrr

I agree, I really like the look of the Mopar slush mats and have been hoping they would eventually release a dark brown color for the overland.

The Weather Tech mats were a little more expensive but well worth the money. They fit much better than others I have seen. The color is not bad, carpet is dark brown and the black mats seem to blend just fine. Look them over. Good luck:thumbsup:

Only thing I dont like is my lack of time spent in it. I need to spend some quality time figuring out the phone and music with the iphone.
