Magnaflow

Hey guys. Need some help. Was thinking about getting this magnaflow. Part #14215, Inlet/outlet size; 2.25in/2.25in. Body shape 5in.x8in. oval, body length: 14in. I know i heard the shorter you go the better the sound. Plus do you think i should leave the reso. (or) get rid of? Price is $174.24. (or) should i go with something alittle longer in length? This is just to do me for awhile. until i can save up the money to get the SRT rear bumper. Then could i go with a single in/ dual out & put a y-pipe after the cat going into the muffler (or) should i just stay with the single in/single out? Plus i got to find out if i can even cut the reso. off. live in missouri, they have stupit laws here. Love the sound of Scotts (Scottina) He's got a really nice ride. Thumbs up to you Scott. Thanks for any info guys. ;)

Re: Magnaflow

When my SRT8 arrived to me the stock exhaust didn't have the reso's on. They were cut out so Im guess its ok lol.. I know it sounded great. Then I upgraded to the borla which now everyone in my neighborhood hates me for the loudness of it :D.. thats why I'm having to sell my borla and put the stocker back on. I too have a Magnaflow but mines the model #12599 muffler...

As far as I know the 4.7 does not have a reso, at least my 2005 does not. I have the 14 " Megnaflow and it's pretty loud and does have some drone around 2,000 RPM. I like it though and at WOT it sounds great! Seems to have more power too.

Good choice man! I'd go w/out the reso too... Once we get a meet scheduled out for us Show-Me staters:D I should have my cutouts installed on my srt then you'll really hear a rumble

I went with the 5x8x18? magnaflow and it sounds great on my 4.7. I have an 05' which did not have a reso, you get some drone around 2k but it doesn't bother me at all. The 4.7 uses 2.5in/out though? or do you have a 3.7?

Yeah 2.5 in and out, it's the 4.7.
