Help with Audio Setup

So, I want to rework ALL of this stock audio equipment in my Jeep. I need some help picking out what I would want and or need for the kind of stereo I want. Since I dont listen to alot of rap, I was thinking of avoiding a gigantic sub in the trunk, I do not want any kind of box back there AT ALL. So, I am thinking some nice Triaxials all around to compensate for that. So here are what I need suggestions for -

Reciever - (Nav Bezel + I want a 2DIN holder, for radio, 1 for storage)
Front Speakers (the 6.5"s I believe)
Rear Speakers (6x9s I think)
Amp (If needed)
Wire
Any other speaker I might have missed.

Sorry, Im new to this! Thanks for all your help in advance!

dont quote me on this but im pretty sure your front speakers are 6x9s and the the rear speakers are 6.5s.

If i were you i would go with the kicker KS series for your door spreakers and tweeters. I have had them im my old jeep and they sound really good, good enough for me to buy them again. Just google Kicker KS series. hope this helps.

Re: Help with Audio Setup

Just make sure before you go out and buy speakers, make sure the mounting depth isnt to deep for your doors. my infinity's i just installed are 3 1/16" and they barley rub my window rails. if they would have been any deeper i would of had some $200 paper weights. and my 6x9 infinity speakers easly sound like something i could use without subs. the bass they produce out of a door is amazing. so find some good 3.5" for your dash, a pair of 6x9's for your front doors and a pair of 6.5's for the rear doors. and if you can definitely use a good amp. with this settup you sould be able to decent bass response without subs

I am posting my build here
http://www.jeepgarage.org/f50/butchs-2010-install-17506.html

as for the speakers the ones im using are discontinued but just look around http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i...-speakers.html
and find some speakers you like, then look on the features & specs and check to see if the top mount depth is 3/16" or less. as for the 3.5" they should all fit. after you find some you like, and would like a recommendation, just let me know i would be happy to help. just enjoy it, picking out all the pieces of your audio system is half the fun. :D

For the in dash 3.5's I have had good luck with these:
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136TR35...CXi.html?tp=96
They are built for aftermarket head unit type of power, running an amp I would upgrade. (crutchfield is overpriced)

In the doors you will get a million different opinions. I like Infinity kappa series they have great high range. I have used Polk's DB series as well, they have a more balanced mid range sound and are cheaper. Some people swear by the Alpine's, I have never used them but I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Also be advised many 6x9's will not fit in the front doors without modification. Be prepared to use a spacer. I have 6.5's with a 6x9 to 6.5 adapter plate in front.

Receiver- If you are buying a nav bezel, might as well consider an indash nav receiver. Again you will get a million brand reco's but I have always enjoyed Kenwood excelon line.

Finally, with everything taken apart, add some sound deadening to your doors at the very least. good luck

They should work just fine. I have never heard anything bad about them, and the mounting depth looks fine. So if you like them go with it. they should sound great. did you decied on a 3.5"? the powerbass ones i just installed sound way better than i thought they would and i got them for only $20.
