VA Lemon Law?

I have had my '11 GC HEMI 4x4 in for service 3+ times in an attempt to fix the shudder issue. The dealership in Roanoke is not very helpful. I have called Chrysler customer service with a complete loop back to the dealership saying there is nothing wrong and my complaint being closed. I am considering filing a lemon law complaint on this vehicle. Is anyone else as frustrated with the shudder/torque converter issues as I am? Thoughts?

The shutter ssue is on ALL 5.7L's. I have it on mine. If Diablo comes out wth a Predator for the WK2 you can get rid of the shutter by simply adding a CMR Tune.

the shudder issue is not something you could use a lemon law on

Hummm I have test driven a couple 2011 Hemi's and didnt notice any sort of shuddering under normal driving and im usually pretty perceptive of things like that. Is there a certain driving situations that makes this happen?

POSSIBLE SOLUTION!

I've been complaining to my dealer also.

Today I got a message from Chrysler customer service about a new software update that is supposed to fix our shudder issue.

Update: RRT11-002.

Go see your dealer and give them this info. The update should take less than 10 minutes. I didn't have time today, but will get it done this week. Good luck. I hope this works!!

The shudder is not unique to Hemis, I had it in my 07 JK. It took me numerous trips to the dealer to get it fix. Check out the links It is specific to the JK but it sounds like the same issues. jeep should be familiar with these issues because they has been around for a while. In some cases reprogramming the TPCM fixed the issue in some cases the torque converter had to be replaced. In the JK there were several symptoms including lost of power, a clunk when shifting gears, and a feeling of driving across railroad tracks. Hope this helps.

In most states, the lemon law can't be invoked unless the problem(s) makes the vehicle inoperable. Engine keeps falling out to the pavement? Lemon law. It shudders? Well, then the vehicle is still capable of getting you where you need to go, so a lemon law probably won't apply.
