More V8 sound

Hi guys, want to have some more V8 sound out of my exhaust. Saw already some writeups about it. Is there any direct fit available, or only custom made? Which silencer should i look for, for a nice agressive but not too loud sound?

i love my Flowmaster Delta 50.... when i get in on it, it sounds AGGRESSIVE (for a 4.7).... and has a nice low grumble when its idling.

I have a flowmaster super 44 on my 4.0L I6 and it sounds pretty loud. Everyone on my street complains haha. Your best bet would be to look on youtube for jeeps with different types of mufflers and exhausts and see how they each sound.

I have videos of my 4.7 doing donuts in the snow... the flowmaster sounds REDICULOUS when the thing hits like 5K RPM... hahahah Friend me and take a listen.

I just put a Magnaflow on my 2005 4.7 and to me it sounds great!

Ok, thanks guys. But did you just remove the standard mufler and put the new one in place, or is some new piping needed as well:confused: Any welding needed or just fixed with clamps:confused:

I also have the Flowmaster Deltaflow 50. The Deltaflow technology all but eliminates the highway drone you get with a lot of hi po mufflers. If you go with just a muffler you''re going to have to add a short extension cause they're shorter than the stock muffler. Most all brands are. That stocker is huge! I always have my exhausts welded but good quality clamps would work fine. Good luck bud.

Had mine put on at Midas. Too cold and snowy here! The new muffler is about a foot or so shorter than stock so they welded in a piece of pipe. It's all welded and they did a really nice job. Took about 40 minutes.

I'm looking at either the flomaster 50 or even just putting a powerstick from http://www.classicchambered.com/ and leaving the stock muff on

Leaning towards more the flomaster because im not sure about the sounds since ive only heard once here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdnAXi37PoA

I had the Flowmaster 50 on my ZJ with the 4.0 and it sounded great. On the 4.7 the FM drones more than the Magnaflow from all that I've read but with the 4.0 it's a nice rumble. A lot of people thought it was a V8.

I have fitted a Dynomax Ultaflow to my WG 4.7 and love it. It not only sounds so much better than the stock strangulator, but I fully believe that the motor runs and pulls better than before. Only need to fit a short length of 2.5inch pipe between, most come in kits with the extra bit needed. Check out their web site http://www.dynomax.com/mufflers.php where there are some sound samples as well!! Have a look at the range available at rockauto.com for some comparisons.

I am absolutely in love with the sound of the Flowmaster 50 SUV I have on mine. I wish I could get new pipes all around and really open it up. But this will do; she's old and I can't afford to put too much money into her (I'm a poor college student haha)!
