I'm going with the Magnaflow this summer. In my opinion, the most subtle sounding systems. Not to loud at idle, and just right when your on it. I'm sure you going to get a lot of different responses, but my vote is Magna-flow!
Do you have have any drone at highway speeds? I have read some reviews that state they drone. I had magnaflow on my last 2 F150's and both droned. I love Magnaflow sound but can't stand drone at any level!
OP, check out some of the clips below in this subforum section with various WK2 catback exhausts, there may also be others on YouTube.
I'd say the Borla is anything but subtle, and you know it's always there. My wife thinks it's "broken, and needs to go to Midas", but the driver loves it. Of course, I loved glass packs back in the day. Heh.
As for droning, I'm not sure any system has it completely dialed out. The Borla has a bit of droning in ECO 4cyl mode in mid speeds, but it's not a loud or overbearing issue at all and they designed it specifically for the Hemi MDS.
If you surf the droning topic you'll see really loud droning and sound resonance from the Mustang, F150, and other crowds with certain pipes.
Think I'm going with Magnaflow. I like Borla's sound in sports/muscle cars but not on an SUV. For me, Borla's sound fits better on the SRT than my Laredo, just my opinion. I did get a quote from a couple local Borla dealers tho the cheaper one was $1380 with March delivery. Magnaflow is in stock (ships in 8 days) at Jegs for $1250. a member said its on ebay cheaper, would definitely look into that.
Go to performance peddler, they quoted my in the $800s. I have bought many of my vehicles exhaust from them. They ship from Magnaflow, just buy through them.
I'm going to check out the Corsa system. I have one on my SRT8 300C and do not have any drone whatsoever. This was discussed extensively on the LX, 300 and SRT forums years back and that seemed to be the consensus there as well.
I ordered the Corsa @ $1312+SH. It's not installed yet on Wk2. Had all 3 in past on various engines... mainly GM SB & BB. Corsa has a more Euro deep distinctive sound. The Magna is normally a few clicks above the stock sound with a nice throaty tone. Borla has probably the deepest & loudest of the 3.
It's a personal taste for sound! Of the 3, IMO I think Corsa focuses on the drone reduction. Both Borla & Corsa under WOT are louder than the Magna. The Magna seems to have a narrow sound band, both low & high RPMs not too far apart in tone & dB, but I've always experienced a drone in mid-rpm's with the Magna.
For idle, hard accel or high RPMs drone is not an issue because of associated frequencies above or below the freq resonance causing drone. For highway mid-rpm range, mild throttle shifts, highway climb, etc; concerning the least Interior Tone & Drone the Corsa has been my choice in past! But each engine, torque band, & exhaust design can have a different outcome. Hopefully, the 5.7 Hemi will have similar positive results in WK2. Still... it mainly a personal taste!
It's not a friendly navigating site, get to a "Search" box & key in the part number and you'll bounce right to the 2011 Jeep WK2 5.7 Hemi Corsa Catback. Alternate method: Email Bob Waldoch @ wwaldoch@waldoch.com.
I hit it by google search 1st time, the other times I too had a hard time navigating... but price nice... avg found was mid $1450 and list is $1899 so I kept playing. I found if you put the corsa part number in the site's search box, you'll go right to the correct page. Another way I managed to get to the 2011 Jeep WK2 page... other things are on their site, but I currently can't recall.
It must be dredge up old thread day for me:
Does anyone have pics from the rear of the Jeep of the systems installed?
My concerns are not with the tips but with where the mufflers sit.
With the Corsa/Mopar I cant get the vision of those ugly rear mufflers on Cadillacs sitting at an angle painted black in the hopes you wont see them.
With the Magnaflow where does that two into one into two muffler go?
Borla (Magnum R/T) Magnaflow (Mini Cooper S) are the two I have owned and liked (Borla was really too quite(I had the 112 the 125 system was louder).
I want to help our an Ohio manufacturer (Corsa) I just want better pics from underneath. Help?
These were the first prototypes done gratis, so I cannot confirm either way what is used on production. IMO, Borla is a company that deserves the benefit of the doubt.
def go for themagnaflow, just put one on mine, nice roar and whistle under heavy right foot, and nice and quite, when you want it too, and not too expensive either.
I purchased the Corsa today. Too bad it won't ship it'll around turkey day time frame. I was hoping to order from Summit Racing, but they wouldn't match any of the other sites so I ended up going with Auto-Anything.com. $225 saved is just too much money to throw away.
I also purchased through auto anything way back. Your ship to time is no quicker summit vs auto anything, they all get built and shipped from the factory. That time is actually quicker then back when they first were released the time frame was 4-6 weeks.
Got the Corsa through Summit Racing who had it in stock and shipped to me in less than a week. My Volant took longer and it was coming in from only 90 miles away. Summit will price match autoanything + coupon + shipping. I would definitely go with Summit given the option.
In other news, with a lift and air tools the complete removal and install of the corsa takes about 45 minutes between 2 people. Sounds great, stock like when putting around and manly when you get on it especially when mated with the Volant.
My only gripe is that there is a time when MDS is engaged and you have a slight load on there you can hear something. It's not an annoying drone, but there's something there that wasn't there before. Also sometimes when idling i can hear it (not a nice rumble, but a tone... but i think that has to do with the motor since i heard it before, the exhaust just exacerbated the problem)

As of 11/18 Summit does have the item in stock and it is shipped from Georgia. This is good news for people who don't want to wait, as when Corsa fist released the item all the main players online were doing only drop ships straight from Corsa.
