Ordered Overland. Shudder is making me nervous! Opinions wanted

Hello everyone. I've been lurking around since November 2010 trying to learn all I can about the WK2 from this forum. Finally, after driving my dealer nuts, I placed my order. White Overland,Hemi,730, black interior. But the shudder issue is really making me rethink my order. Especially since there is no real solution to this problem..Reflashing doesn't seem to be working? Since my order was placed about 2 weeks ago, I presume my build date is this month or early next month? So I guess this question is for those who are experiencing shuddering. Should I hold off? If you knew about this problem would you have held off getting your jeep? What to do? Please be honest, I can take it. Anyway, thanks for your input.

I have a WK2 with a December build date so it appears that I'm in the risk group for this problem. So far I have not experienced it and this forum is full of WK2 owners who have not experienced it. I heard of this issue here on the forum during my due diligence process and as you can see it had no impact on my decision to proceed. Everyone has different tolerance levels for risk. Good luck with your decision.

PS: Welcome, ten64!

OP, you may want to check out a search for shudder threads and one or two polls here. While it has been an issue for several members, many, if not most here report no issues, including none here with Sept 10 build of V8. Good luck.

No shudder here on a late Dec 2010 build date.

I have the shudders and I would buy another one. Overall I think the WK2 is awesome. It was either the WK2 or an X5 for me. I drove an X5 turbo diesel for a couple days and with the shudder I'd still pick the WK2.

just for perspective on how highly Jeep considers shuddr........

it took over 3 years to get a TSB and a fix for the 05-07 4.7s.

the WK hemis are STILL WAITING.
