CD Changer Location

I'm thinking of adding a 6 or 12 disc CD changer to my Jeep and was wondering if anyone has installed an after market changer, and where you put it. The back of my Jeep has a false floor and sub box, so I thinking is under the back seat or glove box. Photo's would be great!

Yea, I have my iPod, but with my crazy loud stereo system the sound quality is way better from CD.

I was fine with what I have till I picked up a Benz for my wife in Florida and drove it back to Chicago last weekend, now I MUST have the CD changed, lol.

Yea, mine is a direct connect, not USB. It's because it is an MP3 file which is compressed, where as a CD is not. If you ever try to burn a CD full of MP3 files you'll notice that you can fit like 80 or 100 songs on the disc, where as a CD can only hold 72 minutes (12-18 tracks).

I notice that the highs are not as crisp, and the bass just isn't the same

If you are using an iPod make sure you are ripping your CDs in Apple Lossless format or even in full AIFF. In either of those you'll take up more storage space but should hear pretty close to CD quality 16 bit, 44.1k sound.

I think I have better sound quality from my iPhone rather than CD's. Compressed audio files sound better then mp3 and wav.

CD Changers? They still make those? Lol.
