04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Heated Seat Issue

I have an 04 Grand Cherokee SE with heated seats - Is there a fuse that controls the led lights on the switches? Or will I have to replace to whole unit with the switches? The low LED lights work on each switch, but the light on each high setting does not work. The seats heat fine, I am just trying to get the lights to work.

Thanks in advance

the leds are in the switch and can not be replaces. so need new switches.

its common and unless you find a used working set or want to spend the money can just live with it like most people with wj's

left and right are different

They can be replaced if you take apart the switch desolder and resolder new ones in though, right?

i have not seen anyone do that since the switch dose not open with push tabs.

not much you can do either replace or just live with it.

Thanks! I have lived with it, I am about to sell the Jeep and I wanted to fix the little things before I sell it. But that will not be fixed haha

Seems to be a common problem after my quick search of the webs.

its a little thing that would not be noticed.
if the buyer noticed it, tell them the seat still heats even if the bulb is burnt and a new one cost $80. they will then understand

i noticed rockauto has them for $43 but if you look on ebay might find the lower part with switches. if they light up might be hard to tell but can ask. only reason why i have 2 extras is because i upgrade the lower part that the switches mount from black (02) to wood grain (01). its a bit darker and cant use the cigarette lighter anymore but looks good and only cost $25 shipped. the switches it came with have the same problem

stock with black on bottom on my 02 limited

upgrade to wood grain from a 01 and added the RB1

also they are different parts from the left side to the right side, apparently not interchangable. I had bought a replacement for mine like I said in pm

i will just convert mine all to green to match the stock color but the smalless amount i find on eBay is 50 for $4

How do you remove the switch from the dashboard? It it an extensive fix?
