Paranoid owner (shudder)

Ok so I've put about 2,500 miles on this new ride and its been smooth as ice. I'm really happy with how it rides and the power under the hood. So i usually check this forum a few times a day. I was happy that i wasn't suffering from the shudder problem as i have tested acceleration in all kinds of ways, hilly flat, and wide open throttle from a stand still.

So on wot I floored it and right at the upper limit i guess of where the red line was of first or second gear it seems as if it was a little too much for this heavy monster. So i thought, ok, how often will I be doing this kind of driving, it isnt a race car.

Shifts between first and second on normal driving seem to drop off after first and then sort of "catch" second gear as if I was shifting a manual, is that weird or have others experianced it? I chaulked it up to learning transmission thing.

Now as I said before i check this site a few times a day and I happened to notice people say the shutter comes when accelerating HARD from 40-45 and that's where they feel it. So after driving a little while i started hearing a rub thud noise from the back when i was carrying no cargo. Maybe it was the cargo cover shifting from side to side. But then i remembered the shutter from 40 so i rolled along at that speed and stepped on it to pass. It felt like i was going over a rumble strip before I really got up to speed. It lasted a split second and it wasn't drastic like people are saying their jeep is falling apart.

So am i making excuses why my little annoyances shouldn't be a problem, or is there really a problem that needs to be fixed? Was what a felt just the transmission shiftinging down from overdrive and I shouldn't be worried? What do you guys think?

1) One cannot be too paranoid

2) The fact that you are paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you.

I noticed that when I have the cruise control at 70, and I'm going up to Park City, and the hill gets steeper, and the car down shifts to 4th, the rpms go to 3,000 for a second, and then settle down to 2500, with no change in car speed. I'm assuming that is the torque converter smoothing out the gear change. I wonder if those that have the shudder don't have the same behavior?
