Going to buy my first Jeep...Decent deal? What to look for?

I think I am going to buy the wife a Jeep tomorrow and just want to get the thoughts of some experts on here. I know nothing about Jeeps so what should I look for? Does this seem like a decent deal?

Its a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7 with 47,000 miles. It's in like new condition inside and out. I think it has every option except for 4wd which is not a huge concern of ours. The tires are the original but already have 4 brand new Firestone Destination ATs for it ready to be put on. Looks like $16,500 is the lowest he will go. Does this sound about right or should I hold out a little longer. Anything to watch out for mechanical wise?

Here are a few pics...

seems like a good deal, where do you live? i used to have a 4X2 jeep and it was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

Oklahoma. We get 1 or 2 snows per year (although we did get 13" yesterday!!) I have a 4x4 truck so the 2wd is really not a concern at all.

What pieces come in the body kit? He didn't mention adding anything to it.

Hmm..I didn't even realize that was aftermarket. Any reason I should try to find a 2008 or 2009 over the 2007 model? Any major changes?

Sounds like an awesome deal! The no 4wd and color are not ideal, but still minor issues.

Stupid question...was the Overland even available in 2wd? I thought all Overlands were 4x4's. Have you run the VIN#? There's a VIN# decoder someone posted up on here a few days ago that would tell you all the info the build sheet would.

08 is much better than 07 IMO but that is a nice looking jeep. just from personal experience i would stay away from 4x2 jeeps. they become very very heavy sleds really easily. the slightest bit of snow or ice gets them stuck quick.
