Best way to get 5" out of 3.5"?

I got 3.5" of lift now and kind of want to move up to 5". Is adding 1.5" coil spacers and 1.5" leaf shackles a good rout to go? Any opinions?

No, with the rear shackle you will get half of the 1.5 so you would need a block and a shackle. Have you done a SYE and new drive shaft? If not get ready to or you will get drive train vibration. The coil spacers are just the first part, then you need to do your control arms and then your track bar will be another issue. Also you will need to really want to replace all brake lines with extended ones. Trust me I know, I ran into all kinds of issues so I am working on them one at a time, then will do the lift.
This is a link for a great book with a ton of info, well worth it.

what brand 3.5" do you have? usually the RE kit runs bigger than 3.5", if i were you i would prob go with a small block in the rear and a MJ shackle for a combined lift of 1.5" (1" block, .5" from the shackle) and do a coil spacer up front.

Ive been wrenching all my life and learned some tricks and tips. Your lower control arms may jamb against the lower shock mount when articulating and yes-the track bar may be maxed out. I recommend you get the printout/recept from your previous alignment and if it drives straight and not touchy now, have the alignment put back to that caster setting after the extra lift. Coil spacers are ok. Rockchucker is right. I used a brand new rear flex line from a junkyard Dodge Dakota, about 5" longer and the front lines have just enough steel tube bends that you can pull the retaining bolt off body and pull it out and down and re drill and mount lower.Works for me and dont forget the parking brake assembly. That can be unbolted and redrilled a couple of inches back. I love my Jeep and the ease of upgrades.
