What a day...Need some help on wheels!!!

Well I made my first post yesterday stating that I was going to buy a Jeep today. Well I bought the Jeep and went to have new tires installed and the tire place cracked all 4 of the outside plastic right in the center by the Jeep logo (17"x7.5" Aluminum Chrome Clad wheels). He said the put them on the balancer too tight.

Anyways they have been very helpful and have agreed to replace all 4 with brand new factory wheels OR my choice of any 17" or 18" aftermarket wheel that he carries (which is most major brands).

My question is are the Chrome Clad wheels really that fragile? Do they hold up over time? Is there a better factory option that is still chrome but not plastic clad? Can anyone recommend a nice chrome aftermarket wheel to look at? What would you do if you were in this situation?

Please tell me the place that put these tires on are going to replace or FIX that?

thats unacceptable and they are liable to fix that. It happened to my dad, the shop coughed up the money for a brand new dodge ram rim

Lucky break if you ask me, those are my least favorite wk wheel looks wise. maybe they would be willing to replace with a comparably priced factory wheel. http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_wheels.htm

Yes I was pretty upset at first but they have agree to fix the problem 100% and I know they didn't do it on purpose. I would rather not state who the company is but it is a major tire chain that is found in almost every city.

As long as they are fixing it, thats the main thing.

Personally, if possible, I would go with SRT replicas.

What about these? They look like the factory wheel but are not chrome clad.

He said I could only pick from 17" or 18" wheels. Not 20", so the SRT wheels are out.

you can get the SRT reps for $700 plus $120 shipping and those are $1500.......I think the shop will pick the SRT reps. BUT...you would have to buy tires.

Are the SRT reps 20" chrome? Where can I find them for $700 plus shipping?

Can someone show me where the SRT reps 20" Chrome for $700 + shipping is so I can print it out and take it up there?

I think that would be fair for everyone. I would be getting a better looking wheel and they won't have to shell out $400+/each for the factory wheels.
