Gas Usage Opinion

So, my average MPG counter says 15.9 average mpg, but I seem to be getting crappier gas mileage than usual. I know Jeeps drink that stuff but it seems like I have been using more gas since after I got it back from the dealer. Like it seems as though the actual gas gauge falls alot when I crank it up. Does anyone else have this issue, and or know hot to fix it?

its winter time, you will always get worse MPGs in the winter. 15.9 is not bad for an overall average

I also noticed mileage dropoff in the winertime. The dealer told me the same thing. Worst gas mileage in the winertime.

Depends on where you live; if in the rust belt, winter gas formulations have a higher concentration of ethanol, which makes mpg worse than summer blends.

Blame it on the mtbe which is added to our gasoline from oct.1st to apr ,15th...as per our federal epa.it adds oxy to our mixture to clean up our air but adds deadly carbon monoxide...go figure..plus reduces our mileage figures???????????

That figure seems entirely reasonable to me! :)
