What 4in lift should I get??

Hey guys, way sick site by the way.

Right now I have a 2.5 Rusty lift on my 2004 grand cherokee, but now i'm looking to go for bigger tires and to do some more off roading. I'm looking to go another 2inches so that means i need a 4 inch lift. What do you guys recommend for a good lift that does good off road and good on the road.
Thanks guys.

If you want to retain a nice ride, you'll really need to go long arms, which is more like 5-6 inches of lift. A 4" lift will start to adversely affect ride quality due to the changes it makes to your front control arm orientation.

When you're talking long arms, there really is only one solution to consider - Claytons.

Rock Krawler, i dont know if they make one for the Wj though.

If Rubicon Express would get their heads out of their buts and start making stuff for the WJ/WK then i would recommend them.

My buddy had long arms on his 04 WJ at about 5.5'' from Iron rock offroad, and his jeep had the sickest articulation i have ever seen up close.

There is a kid on my other club forum with a WJ with IRO long arms. Though i think the arms are pretty low clearance it does flex like crazy. Same size lift too.

also w/ the clayton - from what i understand - u can start w/ the 4" springs and step up to the 6" when ready.

Long arm is top shelf. start/end there.

There are no long arm lifts for the Wk, IFS.

As much as i love the look of a lifted WK and i still have some off roading left in me, i could never justify going out and spending $14k plus on a Wk (that would be an 05 3.7 laredo unless it was a steal) or more on a nicer model and take it out dump thousands more in to it and beat the hell out of it. it was cool when it was my $2200 98 XJ but not a wk, i never could.

Then learn how to drive better. :)

(Of course it helps if you have terrain other than un-predictable mud to wheel in.)
