Rear seat stitching in the cent bottom cushion

Has anyone noticed that Jeep has added a longitudinal stitch in the bottom cushion of the center rear seat? Why is this?

Also is it true that they added more leather to the seats? I have a november build and I'm pretty sure my side bolsters are vinyl.

There was a thread about this - IIRC the consensus was that vinyl side bolsters are probably a better thing in the long run anyway (FWIW, my 98 Limited has the same situation and 13 years later you still have to look closely to see which parts are vinyl.)

Allegedly the Saddle/Black option does not use vinyl bolsters, which might explain the surchage. Maybe some who has an S/B interior could confirm?
