How to angle your side-view mirrors the RIGHT way--no blind spot!

Do you position your side-view mirrors so that you can see down the side of your vehicle? If so, try this. I've been doing this for 10 years but I'm surprised by how many people don't, so I made this thread. Aim your mirrors so that they point to the CENTER of the adjacent lane. You should not be able to see your vehicle in the mirror. You don't need to, as that area is already covered by your rear view mirror. All that does it creates redundancy and a blind spot.

With the side mirrors angled out a little more, you eliminate the dreaded "blind spot". With your head turned enough to look at either mirror, a car that would normally be in that blind spot is now half in your mirror, AND seen in your peripheral vision.

This may seem like no big deal/common sense to some of you, but I'm sure there are plenty of people still doing it the "old" way. Give it a shot

This is how it should look:

Safety driving tips from the guy snapping pictures going down the express way lol

Good tip though, I do agree, MANY people still look down the side of their car.

I can multitask like none other, I did it for you guys! haha

I was driving across boring Ohio, like 200 miles of straight, flat roads and as you see, cars were few and far between
