Two methods for safely washing in the winter!
 
As many of you know our Ask A Pro section helps provide information and advice for detailers of all skill levels. This week Marc Harris from Auto Lavish and Ivan Rajic from LUSTR Auto Detailing published articles about their specific process for washing in the winter. Winter washes provide a unique challenge because of low temperatures and extremely filthy vehicles, but both articles outline how to wash safely in spite of these conditions. nice video! like the music as well... my carwash has people there that tell you to leave if you bring buckets:(

I am part owner in my own carwash now.....I can bucket wash anytime I want...LOL. But I wouldnt stop a customer from using their own buckets cause that would mean they are using my wash twice. Once to wet it down, blow off the crud and once to rinse their soap off. Fine by me.
But theres no use when the weather has been like it is here right now. Its snowing as we speak. I stop everyday and spray my Jeep off with just plain water just to remove the raod grime.

yeah its nuts here too scott!!! i hadn't washed my jeep since late nov/ early dec!!! this weekend is nice again so ill be washing sun again:)))

do you have to put in quarters still since you are part owner?

LOL....no. I have the codes....LOL. Im only 20% owner for the moment. The guy is looking to retire and he's selling me a little at a time. Its makes tons of $$$$ too. last month it did $4000 in the full service wash alone.....LOL

its like 3 minutes from my house and right on I75...so it gets interstate traffic too. he says thats not his best month....LOL

Nice video & write-up! I neeeed to wash mine this weekend. Supposed to get into the 50s in the NE next week! Wohooo, I can maybe even do some driveway washing again
