Whenever I had misfires on my Oldsmobile it was due to clogged injectors. I run good injection cleaner twice over 7000 miles more or less.

I wasnt able to tAlk to mechanic due to late hour drop off. Injector seems likely since it felt under powered

My friends 4.0 2001 Cherokee had a recurring cyl 3 mis fire until he replaced the injectors then it came back again and they changed the coil packs and its been gone for a few years so it could be either.

change the plugs and coil pack on #4

Re: Help! P0304 cylinder 4 misfire

better yet swap your plug to cylinder 1, swap your coil to cylinder 2 and swap your injector to cylinder 3... then drive it and see if the code follows either one of these items ;)

Re: Help! P0304 cylinder 4 misfire

i swapped the coil to #2 and replaced all of the plugs and the code and driving trouble persisted so i dropped it off for someone else to fix HAHA hopefully it is a cheap fix

mechanic test drove it yesterday and could replicate the problem, told him it only happened above 75 and he got it to misfire again. he is swapping the injectors today to see if that fixes it.

Re: Help! P0304 cylinder 4 misfire

I had misfire on my Sierra, turned out it was cracked spark plug, had all new plugs installed and the mechanic kept putting the old plug back in... errr took it to different dealership and he told me it was cracked plug, replaced it, all better now.
