Limited or Overland with non-chrome mirrors

Hello,

Is it possible to order a jeep above the laredo model without the chrome side mirrors?

No, but you could probably get your dealer to swap the covers with a laredo of the same color for you.

I have removed the painted covers and added the chrome myself, some of the mirrors are available but you have to buy the whole mirror. I don't think the painted covers are available as an accessory yet.

Couldn't you just paint the Chrome ones?

You could but I would just make the dealer swap them if they have a laredo of the same color on the lot...should work for any color except Rugged Brown.

Every dealer I have asked told me that it would be easiest to buy a whole new mirror to do the swap. Would painting the chrome ones even be a good long term option?

if done properly. lots of us WK had black plastic mirrors. so we buy chrome covers and have them painted. the CHROME is really just coated plastic. so if done right should last like any other painted mirror.

so if you can get them off they can be painted. there is a vondor Scott. he paints !

min ehave one or two rock chips but anything would. been on three+ years.

I'm surprised they put those on the upmodels, honestly I would have expected it to be the other way around.

They keep adding chrome to each model up, the Summit is about as chromed as you can go.
