Replacing the BA front door speakers.

so here's my deal. we know the BA front door speakers are woofers, more or less.

well now, with the ported 10" in the trunk, they are useless. is there an easy way to replace them with mids?

im nervous about switching out the amp or anything because i have pretty much hit a home run with the setup i have now, imagine how awesome it would be if 90% of my music wasnt exclusively the dash tweeters.

I'm about to be in the same boat after I install my pioneers in the rear door. how's the weather up there back in northern Bmore?

haha I just switched out my dash tweets and was thinking the same thing...is there a nice factory replacement that will not require any modification that will run off the stock BA amp?

Re: Replacing the BA front door speakers.

Hemi: I can answer that tomorrow myself!

I am about to run the S35 dashes (30w Rms; 60w peak), stock fronts, and Pioneer SPR-17C (which run 2-100w RMS; 300w peak).

I am gonna have to get an amplifier for the rears eventually to get their full power. Sadly I am unfamiliar how to do that with a stock REC radio.

Relwarc: I'm glad i am in North Carolina for the time being. Its been 50-70 all week.

well if you are getting an aftermarket amp then it may not help...I dont want to switch out my amp yet so I need something that will run off the stock BA amp I have...let me know fitment and RMS on them!

hemi: oh yeah i forgot to help you that way, one moment.

relwarc, if you are going to switch out the woofers, you are going to need to replace them with really low RMS. If you want true loudness and clarity you will just need an Aftermarket amp.

these have a low RMS and they are cheap.

IMPORTANT
I suggest these so you can properly and easily mount the speakers

Re: Replacing the BA front door speakers.

thanks for the info bro...+rep! If I do this I am going to add sound deadening material on all the door panels, and maybe even more...need to prepare a weekend for that :)
