Tail lights not work

Good Morning everyone. I had a question, today i went to get my 05 JGC Laredo inspected and my tail lights do not work. Brake and reverse and turn all work but tail lights will not. Also my lights on my license plate do not come on i changed them out and still nothing Any ideas?

Check your fuses. I would also check your owners manual if you can for a relay labeled as tail light. I can't remember if there is one or not but it is one of the underhood black plastic boxes and the relays contained in the box are black.

if its the tail lights and the plate lights, its probably all on the came circuit, like JDM said, fuse.

Thanks JDM12,Relwarc,White chocolate for the help. It was a relay fuse located in the box. It was not burnt out or bad, it was completely missing. I took the JGC to carmax for the starter last week and my guess is when they checked the starter relay, they for got to put those back in. And get this they said since i did not bring it back right away, there was nothing they could do. anyway thanks for the help

pull it out and replace it with a new one, or switch it with another relay that you know works like headlights or something.

Re: Tail lights not work

@nikonKiem, Dont know much about the new models but for my JGC Laredo, it was located in the fuse box under the hood . It was the one right behind the battery. I opened the tab and on the back it gives you a diagram. i had to put in a new parking lamp relay that could only be bought at the dealer. only good thing was it was only $15. Hope that helps
