Bwoody front bumpstops

Hoping some one in this section can help me. I would really like to know how much shorter the Bwoody front bumpstops are please. Trying to work out how much more up travel you can have above the upper wishbone ball joint without it hitting the inner guard.

Cheers

What about the stop that sits at the top of the shock shaft inside the strut?
So you are saying only the rear bumpstops is changed then? Tried emailing Mike but does not go through on mike@bwoody.com that you gave me.

Excellent mate. Tells me I can't reduce the clearance above the upper wishbone much then which is a pity.

They are pieces that help the suspension from really bottoming out. Some are poly material, some are foam material.

On the jeep, the rear bumpstops are completely separate from the shock or springs. They are set in the middle of the spring, and when the jeep hits a big bump and your lowered, the bumpstop will hit the plate behind the brake and prevent metal on metal contact

The front bumpstops are actually on the strut itself, and do the same thing, keep the strut from blowing itself up

Bwoody makes rear poly stops and they work great, or you could trim down your stockers, so they arent constantly hitting

Re: Bwoody front bumpstops

How does the plastic inner guard sit directly above the upper wishbone as mine are long gone? Does it come out level with the top of the strut or does it follow the inner fender upwards there?

You can see it sitting above the upperwishbone, but its not a fixed unit, it will slide up and down.... That picture is with SRT struts and bwoody springs

All four on my rig are blown out. Will I need a realignment after replacing the fronts?
