SRT8 Reps

I'm thinking of upgrading to those. I have a 2WD WJ so big tires/lift really isn't practical so I'm pretty much working on making it a road car. I currently have stock 16" wheels with nearly new tires. How much do you think 20" SRT8 (chrome?) reps would cost me with tires. I'm hoping to keep it under $1,000 if I can.

Also, if I can't get those for a decent price I was thinking maybe some 18" JK wheels as they would probably be cheaper.

Re: SRT8 Reps

I have seen used SRT reps and tirs sell for less than $1000. The cheapest I have seen the SRT reps is on oemwheelsllc.com Then you could find ya some used tires or cheap new tires on craigslist, ebay....here etc. The cheapest tire may be a good set of used goodyear runflats from an SRT owner. But in the 275-45-20 size....theer are some good deals out there to get ya close to $1000

Re: SRT8 Reps

I just paid $1480 for a set of 4 new polished reps, with new Hankook Ventus tires, mounted balanced and shipped from oewheels. Scott was great to work with.

I bet if you wait a little longer and do some searching, you'll find used at the price you want. I have a feeling with the 22" coming out, you may see some current 20" owners looking to sell.

Chrome is easy to find too.

Yeah, it wouldn't be till August or maybe July when I get them. I've done some research on it today though. So, I have to stick with 20x9s otherwise the rear wheels rub?

Anyone have any pictures of a red WJ with SRT reps? I just want to see what it would look like, preferably with the polished rims.

Re: SRT8 Reps

i love the look of the SRT8 wheels but if you want a road car try to go to a max of 18" wheels.

the SRT wheels have tiers with a smaller sidewall so you might fell bumps more.
if you get a hole in a tier will cost you more in the long run to replaces
jeep is designed for 16 or 17 inch wheels so your braking will be effected a bit
i think it will be allot for your 2 WD wj to push, probably have a 4.0 I6
also keep in mid if you live in the rust belt chrome wheels will go bad after a few winters

17 or 18 inck jk are a nice option even 17 for a WJ or WK will work

$780 for4, am i reading that right

I live in Florida, so rust isn't a problem! haha Plus, I was looking at getting polished instead of chrome. I just don't think chrome would look good on a Laredo. What exactly do you mean by hard to push btw?

You have any pics of the wheels either on your truck or not? Would love to see a real good pic of the polished reps on a WJ.

Not yet man...I literally just ordered them yesterday, so it'll probably be a week before they even hit my door. Once they do though, I'll gladly get some quality pics for ya.

As for "pushing" larger wheels, I don't think there is anything to worry about. The larger wheel with less tire will actually be lighter (barely)...but lighter. As long as your overall wheel and tire diameter is the same as what you currently have, I can't imagine anyone would see any loss of performance.

Bumps and cracks in the road...yeah, I'd expect to feel all that a little more than before.

Thanks TJ looking forward to the pics.Chief I went and took a pic you had posted of your Jeep but I am not that great with photoshop and didn't see a head on sideview which is easy for me to do.Changed the pics perspective to make it look somewhat decent if nothing else you get a basic idea of what it could look like.

That looks sharp...

Black or comp gray would look sweet too depending on what direction you plan on going. Somone on here has a limited with black reps and it looks NICE!
