Center Console

Does your center console have a gap between the left side and the driver seat vs. being pushed up against the passenger seat making the console creak when the vehicle hits a bump in the roadway? I have a gap on the driver side of at least a half inch vs. being pushed against the passenger seat. The creaking noise isn't overly great, but its just enough to annoy you. If I push on the side lumber of the seat, away from the console, the creak stops.....

Any help would be appreciated.

Mine is about the same, and this is in the spot where seat cushion is closest to center console, more distance near front/rear end of the cushion.

I have about 1'' there.

Not saying this is the case for you, but I can see how if someone bigger sat in the passenger seat over time it cold push that bolster into the center console.

The Jeep only has 300 miles on it...so definitely something isn't right....

That would annoy the hell out of me. Id have the dealer look at it but in the mean time...a little armor all where the leather is touching the plastic should put a stop the creeking.

creak: a harsh scraping or squeaking sound
creek: a stream, brook, or minor tributary of a river

shudder: shake or vibrate deeply
shutter: each of a pair of hinged panels, often louvered, fixed inside or outside a window that can be closed for security or privacy or to keep out light OR a device that opens and closes to expose the film in a camera

A public service announcement.

Too funny Cperez. I know I am guilty of the incorrectly spelled shudder.

It might be spelled creek, but around these parts, it's pronounced "crick". :D
