^^^ Agree.

Don't clean the TB with TB cleaner - others have used a damp, soft rag with good results.

Tranny fluid IIRC is every 60K miles.

Re: conflicts on maintence

Its really only important to take the throttle body off to clean if its not an electronic throttle body... the point of removing it is to get the IAC clean and associated passages. Considering the ETC uses the throttle blade for idle control sticking your finger covered with a rag down into it will get it just about as clean as you ever would on or off.

Basically whatever you use to clean it make sure its not like dripping it must be a controlled clean, a damp/moist cloth with throttle body cleaner or other works just fine, you just dont want to be loading up the throttle body with cleaner and damaging electrical componenets.

You are correct that the '08 WK maintenance schedule is different from the earlier years. Both the owner's manual and Factory Service Manual are in agreement on the work and intervals. Just apply some common sense for how you use your Jeep and adjust accordingly.

Re: conflicts on maintence

FWIW I poured the alcohol onto the microfiber and then rubbed off the grime. Def take the TB off as you cannot clean the backside nearly as well as you can with it off (and mine was dirty)...it def did not take a lot of alcohol and I was very careful with the elec area
