wj sounding like and SRT?

Like the tittle says how can I get my 2002 4.7L to sound more like and SRT8 jeep? I did the K&N cold air intake and it sounds a little more like it and the superchips Flashpaq. All is great for the performance. but what exhaust would sound best?

To start, I dont know what an SRT8 sounds like, or what you are going for. But I will share my exhaust experiences with you.

I, peronsally, would suggest KOLAK exhaust. I had purchased it from NICK (email him at Kolak@aol.com) , and then had the local BIG AL's muffler shop weld it all together for 86 dollars an hour (too 2 hours).

A CAI and a new exhaust should do the trick.

to get the SRT sound(somewhat)...your gonna need a 2.75-3" diameter piping, no muffler and a resonator at the end, close to the tip. It will sound menacing and mean. You may need to go with a dual setup if its possible on the WJ. I have a 4.7 and I have been told my Jeep sounds like an SRT....but meaner. I have a dual SRT exhaust with no muffler and two resonators at the end before the tips.

Re: wj sounding like and SRT?

The law being quoted here in VA, says no alterations to the exhaust system -

But f*ck that noise - i have always put a exhaust system on my automobiles (from a police perspective they care more about EXCESSIVE NOISE, and focus on those rice burners it seems)... If you do get a ticket in VA its only a 30 dollar fine and no points on your license. These issues (like tint and others) are usually looked passed on an inspection, assuming it meets the smog and other pollution related stuff still.
