Body wizards

Hi everybody! So I inherited a door ding when I bought my WJ. It's on the front passenger door, right on the body crease where the GRAND CHEROKEE letters go. I've removed the inner door to find a support bar that goes along the back of the door skin, not allowing a tool back there to work the dent out. I know NOTHING about body work...what do you do in a situation like this? I've taken it to one shop for a quote and they want to replace the door. Way extreme for a little dent. Paint is ok. Overall size is maybe a nickel or a quarter.

You can BARELY see it in this pic if you zoom in...it's directly below the door handle about a foot and a half.

That's the problem...I've talked to 2 guys...had them both take a look and they both told me that bar is in the way. I'm going to try finding some more PDR guys, but 0-2 is pretty dismal.

There is a little space in-between the support bar and the door skin, but again, I don't know enough about it to know if that's all they need. I think if it's "hard" these lazy pricks don't want to bother since they charge by the dent and not by the difficulty level.

I had a few dents and I took mine to a place in Canada called Micropaint.ca and they did wonders. Now all I see is other blemishes on my JEEP that are haunting me. lol Check out there website they have before and after pics and are really affordable

At the rate I'm going here, I might be better off driving up to Canada!

Thanks man...wish they had shops here in the states!

I actually bought a "Dent King" about 10 years ago and to this day I still swear by it. A person can easily make one if you can't buy them anymore. I still use mine to this day. I think it was 15 bucks. alot cheaper than a shop, for the same quality of work as a mobile dent guy.
