2011 5.7L Hemi Performance

So I own a 2011 Limited with the Hemi

Since I have never owned a V8 with this kind of hp / torque ratings what are my best options for increasing the "fun" factor???

Borla or magflow exhaust systems. BWoody performance air intake system. Diable Pedator tuner (when it is available).

I see that "Bwoody" has a ram air intake for some performance upgrades, would an aftermarket exhaust help make a difference with Bwoody?

Interested minds want to know?

the short answer is yes. Combining performance air intatke with performance exhaust system = much improved performance (low/high end), and the sound factor is quite gratifying.

Re: 2011 5.7L Hemi Performance

I have the 5.7 Hemi in my Challenger and my WK2. Though clearly there is a weight difference of 800-1000 lbs, the Challenger is just so much more powerful. Seems like the WK2 hemi is significantly detuned. I would expect it has a lot more potential starting with intake, exhaust, and a good tune. Question is, how much more do you want/need? It's not exactly the right platform to do high performance driving and the 390 lbs ft torque should be all you would ever need off-road or on. I will concede the SRT WK is a different animal. Those things are beasts at the track. They launch like hell in AWD and pull forever. They will pull all 5K lbs through the traps in 12.5 - 13 seconds bone stock. Easy 11's with minor mods. Deep 11's with heads/cam and or nitrous. If you want to go all-out high performance I would recommend waiting on the SRT. JMHO.

Another thing I will add, as was learned on the Charger and Challenger boards, is that MDS sounds like crap with a loud exhaust. Great under WOT, and like a fartcan civic in "ECO" mode, where you live most of the time

If you were to compare the Power Enrichment - fuel/spark & timing tables on both you would be shocked how different they are. Tuning is everything. When they say that the WK2 hemi is tuned for 89 gas it is proof from the factory that the timing table is dialed waaaaaaay back.

Tony, do you know if the Diablosport U7135 tuner will work on the WK2? If so, I can check to compare. Would interesting to see what the values are.

Edit - just looked at Diablosport website and not surprisingly only the WK SRT8 is supported. Oh well.
